The BMW Certified Program is the highest form of approval for a pre-owned BMW.
The process beings with a very simple measurement. For a BMW to be eligible for the BMW Certified Program, it must have more than 300 miles but less than 60,000 miles on the odometer. Each vehicle goes through a CARFAX™ or AutoCheck® report and is checked to be sure that it has genuine BMW parts. The report also reviews the maintenance history of the vehicle to make sure all standard maintenance is up to date.
From there, the pre-owned BMW goes through a detailed inspection. This 360o vehicle inspection is conducted by trained technicians that know BMW vehicles inside and out. The vehicle is inspected for safety, performance, and wear with no detail going unnoticed. If anything on the vehicle cannot be fixed, the vehicle is no longer eligible to be a certified pre-owned BMW.
Following the inspection, the BMW goes through a comprehensive road test that checks the body and mechanical requirements. This helps diagnose the vehicle with any issues so that when you get the vehicle, it lives up to the high standards of a BMW.
Once a vehicle completes the certification process, it is also backed by a BMW Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Limited Warranty. This warranty gives you one year of coverage with unlimited mileage, following the completion of the 4-year/50,000-mile BMW New Vehicle/SAV Limited Warranty.
